The Journey Behind the Flavor

Settebello

Settebello has established itself as a must-visit destination in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport since its inception. The restaurant embraces the rich cultural heritage of Italy, specifically from Naples, where the art of pizza-making originated. Each pizza is crafted with high-quality ingredients sourced with care. Flour from Caputo, San Marzano tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella come together to create a foundation that brings the flavors of Italy to travelers.

Notably, the restaurant operates with utmost passion for authentic Italian cuisine. Pizza lovers can savor classic flavors when selecting from standout items like the Diavola pizza, which features spicy salami and a hint of fresh basil. Meanwhile, breakfast options like the Carbonara pizza present an innovative twist, making it hard to select just one dish.

Diners also enjoy a variety of non-pizza options, including a selection of antipasti, salads, and delightful desserts, such as Tiramisu. Each dish is designed to cater to diverse tastes while maintaining that essential Neapolitan flair. Craft cocktails, local beers, and a carefully curated wine list perfectly complement any meal. Average prices remain budget-friendly, allowing both travelers and local residents to partake in the Settebello experience.

The restaurant embraces its role in the airport community, becoming a beloved spot for frequent flyers and local families alike. The atmosphere buzzes with excitement, framed by beautiful décor reminiscent of an Italian trattoria. Artful murals and warm lighting help create an inviting escape from the usual rush of airport dining. Stand in line for a moment and observe travelers enjoying their meals, chatting, and sharing recommendations. Come for the pizza, stay for the experience.

Settebello

Settebello greets travelers with a charming exterior that reflects its Italian roots. The entrance hints at the warm, inviting space that awaits inside. Once you step through the doors, a cozy ambiance envelops you, making it an ideal spot to unwind before your next flight.

Outside, the hustle of the airport blends with the relaxed vibe of Settebello. Travelers pause to savor their meals while watching the activity around them.

During warm days, a few outdoor seating options offer fresh air and a new perspective on the vibrant airport scene. This casual yet lively atmosphere captures the essence of a community hub, where travelers from all corners of the world come together to enjoy this slice of Italy.

Excellent pizza, quick serving times, and great service. They even have both Coke and Pepsi (bottled, still tastes great). The dough is different from your typical crispy bread, but I really enjoyed it. Expensive, but absolutely worth your time and money.

Hanna fixed me up with a special arugula salad. Great service and yummy pizza. Freshly made pizza in a brick oven.

Needed a pizza on the fly, hand made, wood fired pizza in 5 mins. It was incredible. The run to the terminal made the calories that much better. Would recommend the pizza with the brochette!

Fresh-made, quick-serve pizza. No line for takeout at noon on a Saturday in April. Just take it to the enormous daylight-drenched food court about 50 steps away. Lots of easy seating with panoramic views of the tarmac. From the time I walked up, pizza was assembled, fired, and in my hands in less than 5 minutes while I watched. BRAVO! Fastest food service I've ever had at MSP. Tasty with a nice chewy crust that was almost paper thin, but foldable and comfortably manageable as a single-serve meal without regrets. Quite flavorful, especially with the sprigs of fresh basil. (Kudos) A bit pricey at $19 (isn't everything now?), but In the end, worth it for speed, simplicity, flavor, and friendly service. This is likely my new go-to solution for meals during MSP connections. No drawbacks here, and that's quite a trick these days. Repeat visit at a peak time of 6:30pm on a Tuesday in June was just as good. Every table was occupied in the dining area, but I ordered at the takeout counter with no wait, two orders ahead of mine, and I walked away with my fresh-baked pizza in 5.5 minutes.

Maybe it was the two disappointing, overcrowded lounge visits, but finally eating here was a smart decision. I am not a stranger to Settebello as they started in SLC. However, it took me a while to stop by this one at MSP. In my defense, the two other times I saw it I was rushing by to make connections so didn't feel like I had time. The pizza was exactly the same as I have had at the restaurant which elevates it way above other airport food fare. It is a few dollars more than at the restaurant, but some places in the airport have much bigger markups. The only thing I would do differently is not add garlic to my pepperoni pizza. I thought it would be sauteed, but it was more raw and while, not bad, was a little strong for my liking. Anyway, for my sake and the sake of my connecting flight neighbors, I would skip it next time. Or, ask them to go very light on it. They do have a slightly misleading sign that says made to order pizzas cook in 90 seconds. I knew that only meant cook time and not prep time, but I could see someone rushing for a flight might have other expectations. I timed it and it was less than 9 minutes, but there was not like for to go orders. The restaurant was busy though. I was extremely happy with the speed and the pizza was amazing as always. I have tried their other pizzas and if you like authentic pizza napolitano, you won't be disappointed. The others might be a little too authentic for me so I like the way less authentic pepperoni (which uses pepperoni the meat and not the bell pepper as we are in the US after all). I usually grab Shake Shack in the airport, but the lines are usually long and, while good, I think I will be skipping it for Settebello at MSP from now on.

I LOVED this pizza! Given it's in the airport, I didn't have high expectations but it's better than restaurants in the city! The wood fire bake has great flavor and the options are fun. They have breakfast pizzas which I'm going to try next. I originally ordered the sausage pizza on my way out so I had to heat it up and it STILL tasted great. It's similar to the punch pizza chain but a little crispier crust. Honestly I dare say this is my favorite place in the MSP airport and I travel every other week. The service was fast, and the man working the register was so kind.
